Crossroads
My latest project is from this designer and these are my notes below.
I am making this as a graduation gift for Dominic and is aptly named as mentioned in the designers blog Crossroads. He too is at a crossroads in life and I wish him every success in his future.
On our travels over the past few months I have been gathering fabrics that Dom likes. Greys, blues, creams, reds, browns, blacks, all colors that boys like! I think I’ve covered them all. Having found the pattern and mulling it around in my head for sometime I played with my fabric and decided to get started. It was Tony’s birthday and I figured it was a great day to work on it. I kept asking him what he thought 😍
Once I figured out the design I had to sit down and do some math....I’m not so good with this but if I’m right I need 960 ....yup 960- 2 1/2” squares! And 160- 4 1/2” squares! Luckily I have an accuquilt cutter and it saved me big time! Making a total of 20 squares.
...so now I’m wanting to use leftover squares in the next border...and the plaid is the backing
Update May 23/2020
Finally completed aprox size is 80” x 96” and also made matching pillow cases
Did make a quick trip through Kelowna to pick up a new toy and Penticton to gift Dominic with his graduation quilt.
So happy that he likes it! He has grown into a wonderful young man 😍
